Softball Recap: Hibriten Takes a Loss

After flying high against Watauga last Friday, Hibriten came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 9-0 to the Alexander Central Cougars on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Hibriten's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Alexander Central, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

Coming up, Hibriten will challenge West Caldwell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alexander Central, they will square off against Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.3 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
