Volleyball Recap: St. Stephens Comes Up Short + How To Watch

St. Stephens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Alexander Central Cougars, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-8.

Addison Granger paced St. Stephens' offense, picking up five kills. Granger were helped by Addison Smith and Peyton Brown, who contributed five assists each. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

St. Stephens' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Alexander Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season.

St. Stephens didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Foard on the 29th. As for Alexander Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against McDowell on the 30th.
