Soccer Game Preview: New Manchester vs. Alexander

New Manchester is 0-8 against Alexander since March of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The New Manchester Jaguar will take on the Alexander Cougars at 5:30 p.m. New Manchester has given up an average of 7.5 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

New Manchester is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to South Paulding. That's two games in a row now that the Jaguar have lost by exactly ten goals.

Meanwhile, Alexander came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Wolves.

Alexander's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for New Manchester, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

New Manchester might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Alexander in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can New Manchester avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
