Westmont had won four straight games and Sadie Scales did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Westmont Sentinels simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Northtown Pumas 53-4 thanks in part to Scales, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and six blocks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in blocks.

Another player making a difference was Payeton Pickens, who put up 11 points. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Westmont is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points per game. As for Northtown, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-11.

Westmont will take on Ida Crown Jewish Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northtown, they will face off against Walther Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
