Football Preview: Chatham Panthers vs. Stillwater Warriors
The Chatham Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Stillwater Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chatham's offense hasn't had much luck over their past six matchups, but Friday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.
Chatham is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Chatham had to suffer through a 40-0 loss at the hands of Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton. Aidan Callanan put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 125 yards, and also threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes. Those 125 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of that aerial production (85 yards to be exact) went to Nehemiah Costine, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Chatham's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Stillwater, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.
