Baseball Preview: Luling Eagles vs. Poth Pirates
The Luling Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Poth Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Luling has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 28.
Luling had taken Nixon-Smiley down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Eagles fell 10-6 to the Mustangs.
Luling saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Sandersen, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Poth came out on top against Stockdale on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Pirates blew past the Brahmas 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
