Volleyball Recap: Phelps Comes Up Short

Phelps was the 1-0 winner over Elcho when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell 2-0 to the Hornets on Thursday.

Phelps was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 19 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19.

Keira Riihimaki paced Phelps' offense, picking up four kills. Riihimaki got some help from Haylee Barnekow and her two assists.

Phelps now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Elcho, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Phelps and Elcho will both be playing Tigerton the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
