Football Recap: Haverford School Takes a Loss

The matchup between Haverford School and Malvern Prep on Saturday hardly resembled the 27-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Fords took a blow against the Friars, falling 48-11. While losing is never fun, the Fords can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Friars are ranked fifth).

Haverford School now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Malvern Prep, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Haverford School will challenge rival Germantown Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Malvern Prep is set to square off against their familiar foe Episcopal Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
