Richwood extends road losing streak to seven

Recap: Richwood Lumberjacks vs. Midland Trail Patriots

This season hasn't been kind to the Richwood Lumberjacks, who are still winless after their fifth match. They were beaten by Midland Trail 60-27 on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Richwood has scored all season.

Several Lumberjacks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grant Russell, who scored 12 points. The match was Russell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dalton Spencer , who scored seven points.

Richwood bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Midland Trail, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Richwood is on the road again on Thursday and play against Clay County at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Clay County is ranked 113th, while Richwood is ranked 119th). Midland Trail won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against PikeView at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd.
