Softball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Westview's Winning Streak

After flying high against Roane County on Wednesday, Westview came back down to earth. The Chargers fell just short of the Community Vikings/Viqueens by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings/Viqueens apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

The loss snapped Westview's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 15-7 record. As for Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 24 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-4-2 record this season.

Westview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Community, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Liberty Creek at 11:00 a.m. The Wolves will roll in looking for their 22nd straight victory, something the Vikings/Viqueens surely won't give up without a fight.
