Basketball Recap: USC-MAE Victorious

USC-MAE won the last time they faced Aspire Ollin, and Adrion Gilbert did his part to make sure it happened again. The USC-MAE Trojans enjoyed a cozy 53-39 win over the Aspire Ollin Jaguars on Wednesday thanks in part to Gilbert, who dropped a double-double on 47 points and 25 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 blocks per game.

USC-MAE's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Aspire Ollin, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Orthopaedic the next time they take the court. USC-MAE will host Orthopaedic at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Aspire Ollin will host them at 4:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
