Football Game Preview: Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters vs. Valley Christian Warriors

The Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters will head out on the road to take on the Valley Christian Warriors at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Valley Christian will be up against a hot Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Resorters simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Williams Bay 41-12. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Resorters just coasted through the last quarter.

Cole Wagner was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 57 yards and two scores, and also threw for 195 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 18 passes. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. 84 of Wagner's passing yards were hauled in by Trayden Rebedew.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brennen Goble and Mason Chapman. Another thorn in Williams Bay's side was Zander Lulloff, who forced one fumble, made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended two passes.

Meanwhile, Valley Christian humbled Montello with a 53-6 victory. Considering the Warriors have won seven contests by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah was taken down by Valley Christian 33-0 in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Resorters avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
