Volleyball Recap: Cozad Takes a Loss

Cozad lost against McCook back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Haymakers fell just short of the Bison by a score of 2-1. The Haymakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Cozad sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-12.

Emersyn Propp paced Cozad's offense, picking up 12 kills. Propp got some help from Whitney Regelin and her 22 assists.

McCook found their leader in freshman Emma McConville, who had nine digs and two aces.

Cozad's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for McCook, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Cozad wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Ord on the 7th. As for McCook, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Cambridge on the 30th.
