Volleyball Recap: Fort Atkinson Takes a Loss

Fort Atkinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blackhawks of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2017.

Fort Atkinson may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 21 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21.

Fort Atkinson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Whitefish Bay, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Fort Atkinson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Menomonee Falls on the 13th. As for Whitefish Bay, they will head out to take on Nicolet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Blue Dukes surely won't give up without a fight.
