Volleyball Recap: Pine View Beats Mountain Crest for Their Third Straight Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pine View had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Mountain Crest Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three matches in a row.

Pine View was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-18, 25-18.

Nathan Mitchell paced Pine View's offense, picking up ten kills. Mitchell got some help from Isaiah Warner and his 22 assists. Warner was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Pine View's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Mountain Crest, they dropped their record down to 3-24 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Pine View will challenge Timpanogos at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Mountain Crest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
