New Deal gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 34-20 win over the Farwell Steers. The Lions pushed the score to 34-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Steers cut but never quite recovered from.
New Deal's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from David Aguirre, who picked up 189 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown.
