Softball Game Preview: Henley Hornets vs. Phoenix Pirates

For the second straight game, Henley will face off against Phoenix. The Hornets are taking a road trip to challenge the Pirates at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Henley was able to grind out a solid victory over Phoenix, taking the game 7-3.

For Phoenix's part, Keelie Woodside was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run was Woodside's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carsyn Sousa, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Henley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Phoenix, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.
