Softball Game Preview: North Oldham Mustangs vs. Portland Christian Eagles

The North Oldham Mustangs will challenge the Portland Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

North Oldham lost 17-5 to Pleasure Ridge Park on Tuesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Portland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against North Royalton, falling 17-1.

Portland Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Bragg, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Andi Beyerle also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Portland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for North Oldham, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Everything went North Oldham's way against Portland Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as North Oldham made off with a 16-5 win. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
