Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Bowie's 11th in Last 14 Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Burkburnett, Bowie was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 41-34 victory over the Nocona Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jackrabbits also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.

Bowie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rayder Mann led the charge by putting up 13 points. Another player making a difference was Bradly Horton, who posted ten points.

Bowie has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Nocona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Coincidentally, Bowie and Nocona will both be playing Bonham the next time they take the court. Bowie will head out to face Bonham at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Nocona will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
