Recap: Mullen Broncos vs. Paxton Tigers
The Mullen Broncos lost against the Paxton Tigers back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Mullen took a 32-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paxton. Mullen has not had much luck with Paxton recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Leading Paxton to victory were Maddex McConnell and Josh Eakins. McConnell scored 16 points, while Eakins scored 11 points along with four steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Mullen now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Paxton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Mullen will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brady on January 5, 2024. Paxton will be home for the holidays to greet Maywood/Hayes Center at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
