Basketball Game Preview: Russell Broncos vs. Ellis Railroaders

The Russell Broncos will head out to take on the Ellis Railroaders on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Russell had to suffer through a 65-35 loss at the hands of Hoxie. The loss continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Ellis suffered their closest defeat since February 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Smith Center by a score of 41-38. The Railroaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ellis suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 5-5. As for Russell, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Russell skirted past Ellis 39-37 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Russell repeat their success, or does Ellis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
