Rittman took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Northwestern, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huskies on Tuesday, sneaking past 8-7. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 11-2 win the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Rittman's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-12. As for Northwestern, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Huskies beat Rittman by a score of 6-2 on Wednesday.
