Football Recap: Silver Creek Takes a Loss

Silver Creek lost against Frederick back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The game between the Raptors and the Golden Eagles didn't end well, with the Raptors falling 28-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frederick to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sonny Delpizzo, who rushed for 185 yards and one TD while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 30 receiving yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Preston Kissinger, who threw for 112 yards and one touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes.

Silver Creek has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Frederick, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Silver Creek is set to take on their familiar foe Loveland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Frederick will face off against rival Poudre at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
