Santa Ynez's tournament run continued when they took on Justin Garza on Friday. The Santa Ynez Pirates took a 74-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Justin Garza Guardians. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jude Pritchard, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 18 points. Lucas Ollenburger was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds.

Santa Ynez's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Justin Garza, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Santa Ynez didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-63 loss against Sierra Pacific on the 14th. As for Justin Garza, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-44 win against Morro Bay on the 13th.
