Bennington took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Ell-Saline, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Cardinals on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Bennington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Ell-Saline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bennington will host Canton-Galva on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.71 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ell-Saline, they will take on Trinity at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Celtics will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
