Baseball Recap: Birdville Takes a Loss

Birdville fell victim to Grapevine and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Mustangs. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Birdville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Manny Gonzales, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Birdville's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Grapevine, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

While Birdville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
