 Richwoods has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the El Paso-Gridley Titans at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  matchup.
 Last Monday, it was a hard-fought  contest, but Richwoods had to settle for  a  5-4 defeat against Peoria Notre Dame.
 Meanwhile, El Paso-Gridley was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell just short of LeRoy by a score of  8-7.
  Mason Vandegraft put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  5.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits (and only one walk). Vandegraft was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  Dominic Ricconi made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Richwoods' defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for El Paso-Gridley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
