 Sadly, Muncie Central is still looking for their first win of the season after seven  matchups. They fell victim to a  tough 23-0 defeat at the hands of the Union City Indians  on Wednesday. Muncie Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Union City apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2021.
 For Union City's part,  Kierra Thacker and  Lindsey Evans made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Thacker   struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile,  Evans   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. At bat,  Thacker  scored a  run while going 2-for-4, while  Evans  scored five  runs while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Emma Blankley, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3.  Oaklee Reichard was another key contributor,  going 1-for-1 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run.
 Muncie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Union City, their victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 3-7.
 Muncie Central will  take on Anderson at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Union City, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against South Adams at 5:30  p.m. Both teams will come into the  game having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
