Football Recap: Forest Hills Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Forest Hills Central was the 34-13 winner over South Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rangers fell 43-36 to the Sailors on Friday. The Rangers gained 221 more yards on the day, but it was the Sailors that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why Forest Hills Central lost, don't look at Nick Williams. Despite the final result, he threw for 296 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 97 yards on only 13 carries. Matt Sexton was in the mix too, providing the Rangers with two scores.

A big part of South Christian's win came down to the chemistry between Austin Burgess and his top target Owen Burgess. Austin threw for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight passes while Owen picked up 86 receiving yards and one TD.

This is the second loss in a row for Forest Hills Central and nudges their season record down to 2-4. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.0 points over those games. As for South Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
