Football Game Preview: Comfort Bobcats/Deer vs. Rogers Eagles

For the first time this season, Comfort will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to face off against the Rogers Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Comfort came up short against Bandera and fell 28-20. The Bobcats/Deer have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Comfort's loss came about despite a quality game from Carter Pape, who rushed for 127 yards and one score while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Pape really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.

Meanwhile, Rogers might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Blanco who claimed the real prize. The Eagles fell 37-32 to the Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Comfort, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 4-2.

Comfort couldn't quite get it done against Rogers in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 31-24. Can the Bobcats/Deer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
