Jackson Prep won the last time they faced Pillow Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots won by a set and slipped past the Mustangs 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Jackson Prep took Pillow Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-14, 25-18, 19-25, 16-14.

Leigh Hand paced Jackson Prep's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hand got some help from Mercy Robbins and her 34 assists. Robbins was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Jackson Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Pillow Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Coincidentally, Jackson Prep and Pillow Academy will both be playing Madison-Ridgeland Academy the next time they take the court. The Patriots will host the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
