Football Game Preview: Guyer Wildcats vs. Lewisville Farmers + How To Watch

The Guyer Wildcats will square off against the Lewisville Farmers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Guyer is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Lewisville better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Guyer's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Guyer really gets things going. The Wildcats breezed past Little Elm to the tune of 29-0. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Kaedyn Cobbs had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 121 yards and two touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Guyer's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Martens, who rushed for 87 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Guyer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 273 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in 12 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Lewisville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Hebron 45-43. The win continues a trend for the Farmers in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won six in a row.

Lewisville's win came from a few key players Guyer will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tenel Hill, who rushed for 132 yards and one score. Those 132 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Tre Williams was another key player, throwing for 205 yards and four touchdowns.

Guyer's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Lewisville, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
