Softball Recap: Poly Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Norco, Poly was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Centennial Huskies a 13-0 shutout. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 7-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Marley Audoma made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Audoma was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Poly got a massive performance out of Honesty Romero, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Romero has posted since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was Violet Espin, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

The win got Poly back to even at 1-1. As for Centennial, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Poly has already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against JSerra Catholic on the 24th. Centennial has also already played their next game (against Great Oak), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
