Softball Recap: Poly Wins Going Away Against Centennial

Poly got themselves on the board against Centennial on Friday, but Centennial never followed suit. They blew past the Huskies 13-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bears needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Marley Audoma made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Audoma was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Poly got a massive performance out of Honesty Romero, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Romero has posted since back in February of 2025. Violet Espin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

The victory got Poly back to even at 1-1. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Poly will take on JSerra Catholic in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Centennial, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Orange Lutheran at 5:00 p.m.
