Soccer Game Preview: Nevada Union vs. Del Campo

The Nevada Union Miners will take on the Del Campo Cougars in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nevada Union's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Nevada Union lost 5-1 to Gridley on Thursday.

Meanwhile, while Del Campo scored more goals than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. Neither they nor Foothill could gain the upper hand last Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

They hit Foothill with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brandon Rankin, Jayden Franklin, Jerrin Cornethan, and Jaime Ochoa.

Nevada Union's loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1. Del Campo's draw gives them a new season record of 2-3-1.
