League recap: Garner Magnet wins, gets boost in standings

4A Conference 12 recap September 24, 2013

Garner Magnet was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in 4A Conference 12. Earlier in the week, the Trojans defeated Enloe 61-19.

Garner Magnet took down the Eagles 61-19 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Clayton's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Comets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sam May has thrown for 302 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Eric Hoy has 8 catches for 165 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when West Johnston takes on Knightdale. At the moment, the Wildcats are in fourth, while the Knights are in third.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when West Johnston takes on Knightdale. Jimmy Williams' team has allowed 86 points this season, while Robert Senseney's team has given up 57.

Thurman Leach's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on Enloe.
