Recap: Southeastern Local Trojans vs. Triad Cardinals
The Southeastern Local Trojans entered their tilt with the Triad Cardinals with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Southeastern Local strolled past Triad with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 49-31. Given Southeastern Local's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Triad is ranked 631st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Triad still got an impressive performance from Mia Lemay, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and six blocks. Lemay is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played. Emma Ferguson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Southeastern Local's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Triad, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Southeastern Local will head out on the road to face off against West Liberty-Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Triad, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mechanicsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
