Baseball Game Preview: Keystone Panthers vs. Clarion-Limestone Lions

Keystone is 0-10 against Clarion-Limestone since May of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Keystone has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Keystone is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Brookville, falling 16-5.

Chaz Renninger put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (one). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Aidan Tharan was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Brady Dunlap also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Clarion-Limestone's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 10-6 to St. Marys.

Clarion-Limestone's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Keystone, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
