Basketball Recap: Tuscaloosa County Comes Up Short

Tuscaloosa County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a blow against the Thompson Warriors, falling 68-39. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Warriors are ranked 101st).

Tuscaloosa County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Thompson, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tuscaloosa County will square off against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thompson, they will take on Hewitt-Trussville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
