Baseball Recap: Wyoming Valley West Falls Short of Wilkes-Barre in the Playoffs

Wyoming Valley West and Wilkes-Barre squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Wyoming Valley West had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in April.

Wyoming Valley West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damien Eastman, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Wyoming Valley West has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Wilkes-Barre, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Wyoming Valley West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wilkes-Barre, they have already played their next contest, a 9-3 victory against Williamsport on the 23rd.
