Softball Recap: Percy Julian Comes Up Short

Percy Julian came into this matchup off a tough 19-run loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Greenville Tigers by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The Phoenix have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Percy Julian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryanna Cleare, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Percy Julian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Greenville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Percy Julian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Park Crossing at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st. As for Greenville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Greenville Tigers duke it out with Hatch Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
