Lafayette and Sumrall squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Lafayette had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2. The Commodores' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Lafayette took Sumrall into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-13, 20-25, 22-25, 15-13.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 16-20. As for Sumrall, their win was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-5.

As of now, neither Lafayette nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
