Preview: The Habersham School Patriots vs. Savannah Christian Raiders
The Habersham School has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Savannah Christian Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Habersham School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Savannah Christian likes a good challenge.
The Habersham School scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Heritage Christian Academy at home to the tune of 80-22. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win The Habersham School has managed all season.
The Habersham School can attribute much of their success to Luke Rowland, who scored 16 points. Ike Barry was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Savannah Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calvary Day. Savannah Christian has not had much luck with Calvary Day recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
The Habersham School has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Savannah Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
The Habersham School ended up a good deal behind Savannah Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2023, losing 68-50. Can The Habersham School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
