Basketball Game Preview: Bay Tigers vs. Moss Point Tigers

Bay and Moss Point are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Bay Tigers will head out to challenge the Moss Point Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bay will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bay challenged Greene County on Friday. Bay came out on top against Greene County by a score of 40-28.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Moss Point, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Pass Christian 40-10. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Pirates are ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bay pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.5 points per game. As for Moss Point, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Everything went Bay's way against Moss Point when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Bay made off with a 40-16 victory. Will Bay repeat their success, or does Moss Point have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
