Mount Everett Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-16 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westfield Technical Academy Tigers.

Emily Gilmore and Hailey Warren stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gilmore went 3-for-6 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Warren went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ariana Sermini, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Mount Everett Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Westfield Technical Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6-1.

Looking ahead, Mount Everett Regional will take on Amherst-Pelham Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
