Preview: Bloomfield Cardinals vs. Linton-Stockton Miners
The Bloomfield Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Linton-Stockton Miners at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bloomfield has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 25.
Last Thursday, Bloomfield came up short against Clay City and fell 56-45.
Meanwhile, Linton-Stockton also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Evansville Memorial by a score of 47-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Linton-Stockton in their matchups with Evansville Memorial: they've now lost three in a row.
Bloomfield bumped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Linton-Stockton, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
Bloomfield was dealt a bruising 75-27 defeat at the hands of Linton-Stockton when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Bloomfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
