New Hampstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Effingham County Rebels. If the Phoenix were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Rebels when the teams met back in August of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Charlotte Shearouse had a dynamite game For Effingham County., getting nine aces and three digs. Those nine aces gave Shearouse a new career-high.

New Hampstead's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Effingham County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-19 record this season.
