Soccer Game Preview: Tarpon Springs vs. Calvary Christian

The Tarpon Springs Spongers will face off against the Calvary Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Tarpon Springs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Anclote onto the board and left with an 8-0 win. That eight goal margin sets a new team best for the Spongers this season.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian entered their tilt with Chamberlain on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Storm. Give the Warriors' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

They hit Chamberlain with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luis Capestany (2), Nico Carr, David Holloway, and Drew Mullins.

Calvary Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Tarpon Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9-1.
