Softball Recap: Johnson Creek Bluejays vs. Marshall Cardinals

Johnson Creek was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Marshall on Tuesday. The Bluejays were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Cardinals. For the Bluejays, this counts as revenge for the 14-2 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Tori Buglass made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. Buglass was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Johnson Creek and Marshall will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bluejays are set to challenge their familiar foe Parkview at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Marshall will take on rival Wisconsin Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
