Softball Recap: Phoenix Comes Up Short

Phoenix was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles, falling 13-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-8 back in April.

Phoenix's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Jordan-Elbridge, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11.

Phoenix does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jordan-Elbridge, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against Canastota on the 19th.
